The Gripster Q & A
Q: Can I use it on a dock?
A: An optional dock mount kit is available for private dock use.Q: Will it harm my finish?
A: The non-marking cups will not damage factory gel-coat finishes. The Gripster™ should not be used over gel-coat decals or on low quality enamel paint jobs.Q: Can I leave it overnight?
A: The Gripster™ is marketed as a day-use mooring device. If left unattended for longer periods of time a safety line should be used.Q: Can I moor up with more than one boat?
A: The amount of boats rafted up together is only limited to the Gripster™ available.Q: Do they float?
A: No, but from our customer feedback this has never been a concern. If a cup were to detach from a boat it would still be attached to the companion boat. If the end user felt uncomfortable with their confidence in the product, we suggest using a child’s water wing over the extension tube until satisfied with the unit’s performance.Q: Is the boat-to-boat model different than a jet-ski model?
A: Yes. The boat-to-boat model is sold as a pair with multi-axis ends. The jet-ski model is sold as one unit with fixed ends. The two are not interchangeable.Q: Will the Gripster™ work on curved boat hulls?
A: Yes. The rubber cups will work on most flat and curved 6 inch areas available on your boat including the pontoons of patio boats.WARNING:
Do not use the Gripster on any After Gel Coat Decals. Damage to the decals may occur.Do NOT lay the Gripster on the upholstered seats of any boat (especially white upholstery) the vacuum cups will leave marks and cause damage.
