The Gripster™ IS NOT A PERMANENT MOORING DEVICE ( PATENT #5,676,085 )

The Gripster™ is designed to be used on any smooth, defect-free area of your boat or personal water craft’s hull or deck, with either gel coat finishes or high quality paint & clear coated with a hardened finish.

The vacuum cups of The Gripster™ may leave marks in a low quality finish on some older boats. It is up to the purchaser to try this product on an area of their boat that they are not concerned about to determine that the The Gripster™ will not damage the finish on either their boat or any boat they may be connecting up to.

TO ATTACH:
1.Place The Gripster™ end, with the nylon washer at the base of the pump, on your vessel first. Actuate vacuum by vigorously pumping until the black pump body remains depressed. ( Normally 5-8 full pumps.)

MAKE SURE THE U-SHAPED YOKES ARE IN A POSITION TO ALLOW FOR THE UP AND DOWN MOVEMENT OF THE 2 ATTACHED BOATS .

Personal water craft models can be attached at either end.

2. Pressing the tru-lock extension button to one side or the other, allows the extension of the opposite Gripster end to the desired position for the connection to the companion vessel. Release the tru-lock and activate the vacuum pump body by pumping (5-8 times) on the second boat.

3.If at any time the red safety line appears on pump body, re-pump device and/or find a better attachment point.

4.As with any mooring device, we recommend a backup attachment should your vessel be unattended for an extended period of time.

5. Make sure the vacuum pump area is free of dust and or debris to provide the best adhesion.

MAINTENANCE:
Your Gripster™ is built with stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and high-tech nylon. If you submerge the pump body we suggest you dry it at the end of the day. The pump body handle can be removed by grasping it firmly and pulling upwards. Let the pump chamber dry, and apply a little Vaseline to rubber pump seal during re-assembly.

WARNING:
Do not use the Gripster™ on any After Gel Coat Decals.
Damage to the decals may occur.

Do NOT lay the Gripster™ on the upholstered seats of any boat
(especially white upholstery) - the vacuum cups will leave marks and cause damage.
