INSTALLING channels is easiest with the boat upside down in a dust free environment. Your kit contains two bladders and covers, channels, a pump, four cleats and the necessary hardware and line. FIRST mark the position of the channels. They should be located at the waterline of an empty boat midway from bow to stern. If your boat has a hard chine this is where the track will go. CLEAN the area for the channels with isopropyl alcohol or acetone. Peel the protective tape and press the channels to place, slot open to the rail, not the bottom of the boat! If the sides of the boat are curved and you have trouble getting the channels to stick, use the small screws provided to hold them in place while they cure, about 36 hours. You can then back the screws out, squeeze in some bedding compound and replace the screws permanently. |

NOW install the cleats. Turn the boat over and position the cleats
88 inches apart. Screw them to place on the inside of the rail using the
stainless screws provided with an appropriate bedding compound. |

INSERT THE BLADDERS. First lay out the covers with the end flaps facing up and the attachment rods facing each other. Fold the bladders lengthwise in thirds, valve up. Start at the end without the valve and insert into the opening at one end, pushing as far as you can. Reach in from the opposite end and pull bladder through, centering the bladder. Tuck the valve end in right against the end seam and fold the opposite end just enough to tuck it in. Fold the flap over and you’re ready to inflate.

Once Dinghy Dogs® are inflated, take one end of the line provided, tie a figure eight stop knot and insert the other end through the center hole of the cleat from inside out. Pull the free end of the line through the grommet in the end flap of the Dinghy Dogs® cover, pull tight to the rail and tie off to the cleat. Cut off the excess and use the rest of the line for the remaining ends of the Dinghy Dogs®.
