Masterpieces - The Process
When we receive your photo, your order is handled
with white cotton gloves to ensure cleanliness.
We want to be certain to protect your photo from fingerprints, oils and dust. With
the assistance of a
laserdrum computerized scanner, we create an exact replica of the photo.
The paint we use is a special formula
with built-in ultra-violet (UV) protection to give your PhotoMasterpiece
a longer life and protect it from the damaging rays of the sun. Please, do not
think this means you should
put these, or any other paintings, into direct sunlight.
We enlarge it to your selected
size - anywhere from 16" x 16" to 20" x 30."
Then, with our secret, one-of-a-kind
technology, we render the enlarged picture onto 100% cotton linen artists'
canvas. The paintings are hand finished, stretched and
gallery-wrapped or framed, depending on your order.
Like all paintings, they take time to dry in a dust-free, protected environment.
Before shipping, they are carefully bubble-wrapped and sent out to you, your loved ones or
client, all ready to hang. Your original, undamaged
photos are enclosed.
Tips for Choosing the Best Photo:
- You may send us either a black and white or color
photograph. It can be old or new.
We can make beautiful Masterpieces of them all.
- You may send us the photo or a negative. We will return
your photo to you. However, do NOT send us the
original. Please, have copies made. You'll get your original photo back, undamaged.
- If a photograph is out of focus or grainy, we cannot
improve it. A clear and sharp photograph makes the
best reproduction.
- Your original photo can be as small as 2 �" x 2
�" or as large as 8" x 10." It's orientation can be either
vertical or horizontal. You'll be able to hang the Masterpiece either way.
- We do minor cropping and touch up at no additional charge.
That may include a certain amount of color
correction, removing dust images, smoothing out minor scratches. Photos that need
more restoration can
be converted. However, there is an additional charge for repairing folds, clean
tears or excess scratches.
- Please understand that small defects in a photo can become
large defects when the picture is blown up to
20" x 30."
- If you're not sure which photo will turn out best, please
feel free to send us several (3 or 4). Mark them in
order of preference, in case they all work. Otherwise, we'll evaluate them and
contact you to help you get
the best PhotoMasterpiece possible.
- For the best effect, please make sure that the main subject
of the photo is at least 20% of the original
un-cropped photo.
